In September 2018 hopped on a plane to Orlando. I was starting a new job with Automattic and my first day would be at their ‘Grand Meetup’ where the whole company comes together for a week. I was going to meet literally 1000+ colleagues.

The whole experience was amazing, and a little overwhelming. One saving grace (for my introverted self) was the fact that one of the features of the meetup is that they had 2 bandrooms set up with full instrumentation and amplification. Despite not really knowing anyone – I was able to get in a room with people and jam on awesome songs.

This song was one of those which I got to play with some awesome other folks – and had a total blast. As an aside – the portion about 2/3 of the way in where the drums start to play on the off beat for a while – incredibly difficult to get right…
