I’d always found Rod Stewart to be a bit naff – overblown and over the top, mullets and satin shirts. Then I stumbled across this song.

I knew he had been in The Faces but had never dug in much – then this song happened to come on one day in a random Spotify playlist. And I was immediately hooked.

The song has such a groove all the way through – and then once it kicks into high gear at the end… woah. The live version is this video is particularly great – you can just see them having a great time.
